Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam

I’m going to be the first to admit it. I love makeup and fashion. I love the idea of doing my hair but I’m not the best at it. To be brutally honest when I’m really having issues I’ve openly referred to my hair style as looking like a burnt cactus. Not great I know but I’m getting better and better!

Recently I’ve been trying to do more with tanner since Corona. Why not? No one can see me so what’s the harm. So when my most recent Birchbox had a self tanner included it was a challenge! I tried the Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam. It is a dark color so I’m not gonna lie, I was extremely nervous. I’m a pale girl; there is no hiding it. I burn more often than I tan but I thought why not.

So full disclosure. I put lotion on my wrists, ankles, knees and elbows before I did the tanner. (If you put lotion on the trickier spots first it helps to make sure you don’t get too much product in the area.) I put on my mitt and gave three squirts then slowly took long swipes up my legs. I went slowly to make sure I got everywhere so I did ankles to knees then knees to hip. I did my arms in one swipe, I also got chest and back too. By breaking it up a little I think I got a better overall application.

I did not put any on my face. I have sensitive skin so I’m very cautious with my face and I’ll just use a little bronzer.

So for this tanner you let it set for an hour and you can leave it on to develop for as long as you’d like but not longer than six hours. I did an hour to start. I could see it starting to tan so I left it going. That being said I don’t wanna look fake so I only left it on for another hour then washed it off.

After the shower and drying off it looked lighter than preshower but still a really good overall tan. It doesn’t look streaky and is a really nice even tan. The one think I did learn is while I did a good job applying the tanner I needed more on my arms. They look maybe a shade lighter which is completely ok since my legs probably get more sun normally than my arms but I learned this so I wanna share it with you guys.

If you’re interested in grabbing it I have the mitt I used and the tanner linked below.
